The Regional Transportation Authority is continuing public engagement efforts with a virtual RTA Next presentation so residents can learn more about a $2.46 billion, 20-year draft plan for area road improvements.
The virtual presentation is planned for 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6. The draft plan includes regional transportation network improvements for transit; safety, ADA, active transportation; arterial reconstruction; environmental; and roadway corridor projects.
The RTA Next draft plan in brief:
- Roadway corridors – $1.44 billion
- Safety and active transportation – $206.8 million
- Transit – $610 million
- Environmental – $25 million
- Arterial roadway reconstruction – $20 million
Public feedback will be considered by the RTA Board prior to approving a final plan for future voter consideration, and an election is tentatively set for November, 2025.
The public is invited to review a draft project list, project map, fact sheets, and take a survey on the plan. The survey is available in English and Spanish at RTAnext.com.
