An 89-year-old motorcyclist has died days after colliding with a pickup truck on the city’s northeast side, Tucson police say.
About 3:40 p.m. Dec. 20, Gerald George Kroninger was riding a 2006 Kawasaki VN900 motorcycle south on East Catalina Highway when he collided with a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 as it exited a private driveway near East Dawn Post Road, north of East Tanque Verde Road, Tucson police said in a news release.
The unidentified driver of the truck, a 41-year-old man, was not injured. The driver stopped immediately after the crash and cooperated with the investigation. He was cited for failure to yield, the release said.
Kroninger died at the hospital on Monday, the release said.
The investigation continues.
