Man dead in targeted hit-and-run crash in Phoenix
Police say a driver intentionally hit and killed a pedestrian with their car in central Phoenix on Friday, Dec. 27.
PHOENIX – Police say a man was targeted and killed in a hit-and-run crash in Phoenix on Friday, Dec. 27.
The fatal crash happened near the intersection of 16th Street and Thomas Road around 7:30 p.m.
According to a release, a man was found at the crash site with serious injuries and rushed to the hospital where he died.
“The initial investigation revealed that the victim was intentionally struck with a vehicle driven by an unknown suspect. The suspect took off from the area after a short period of time,” Sgt. Rob Scherer said in the release.

An investigation is underway and anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO.
