Separate shootings leave man dead, teen injured

Two separate shootings left a man dead near Indian School Park in central Phoenix and a teenager in critical condition near Desert Sky Mall in west Phoenix.

PHOENIX – One teenager is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a shooting at Desert Sky Mall.

According to police, the shooting occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 27. 

Officers were summoned to the intersection of 76th Avenue and Thomas Road when they found the teenage boy with a gunshot wound.

The area is expected to be closed for a few hours while investigators gather evidence.
