At the scene, officers found a 32-year-old man who had been shot. That man had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Flagstaff Medical Center to be treated, according to the department.
FPD added that their investigation shows that the man was shot after an altercation with two Native American men who ran from the scene.
The suspects have now been identified as 19-year-old Riley Z. Sahneyah and 20-year-old Destry Sahneyah. Police say they are brothers from Peach Springs and are considered “armed and dangerous.”
Police were able to identify the suspects after speaking with the victim and witnesses and through evidence gathered from the scene of the shooting, including surveillance camera footage.
FPD said they believe this is an isolated incident and are asking anyone who knows where the Sahneyah brothers may be to call the department at (928) 774-1414 or Silent Witness at (928) 774-6111. Tips can be reported anonymously.
