Pima County Democrats hold election watch party | News

TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) — Once the polls closed, local democrat candidates and supporters gathered at their watch party, waiting for the results to start rolling in.

Tucson democrats gathered at Hotel Congress as the first few local races were called, while ending the night staying hopeful for the big ones still left.

Organizers say over 600 people RSVP’d to the watch party to support democratic races locally and nationally.

Candidates took the stage, including Kirsten Engle, who’s running for U.S. Representative for Congressional District 6, along with Democratic Board of Supervisor candidates saying they feel cautiously optimistic.

Now as we wait for results to become official here in Arizona and for our country, supporters of the Harris campaign say their message stands strong.

“As we look to all of these results today our message has to be, no matter the results are tonight, let’s unify, let’s come together as one nation and that’s the message Kamala Harris has been spreading since day one but certainly in the final stretch of this campaign,” said Andres Cano, the former Arizona House Minority Leader.
