Deadly double shooting at Phoenix Circle K

A shooting near 17th Avenue and Van Buren Street left two men dead.

PHOENIX – Two men are dead following a shooting near downtown Phoenix, police said.

They were later identified as 20-year-old Andre Wilkes and 22-year-old Jesus Erlandson-Gonzales Jr.

Detectives believe that an argument was started by Erlandson-Gonzales that escalated into a gunfight with both men shot.

The shooting happened just after 12:30 a.m. on Aug. 30 near 17th Avenue and Van Buren Street.

Phoenix Police say that an investigation is ongoing.
